This page explains what Gulf Coast Christian Church (GC3) collects on gc3.church, why, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and plain.

What you can share with us on this site

  • Spiritual check-up: your answers. If you ask for your results by email and tick the box, we also keep your name and email.
  • Newsletter: your email, and your first name if you give it.
  • Plan a visit: your first name and email. If you choose to, your phone number, the Sunday you plan to come, your kids' ages, and a short message.
  • Text updates: your first name, last name if you give it, and your mobile number. See the text messaging section below.

Everything is optional except what a form marks as required. Gifts are handled by our giving processor, not by the forms on this site. This site does not collect or store card or bank details.

What we store along with it

When you send a form we also keep the date and time and the type of browser you used. For the newsletter and text sign-ups we keep a scrambled code made from your internet address, so we can spot abuse and keep a record of consent. We do not keep the address itself. For text sign-ups we also keep the exact words you agreed to, and the page you agreed on.

How we use it

  • To reply to you and to follow up on a visit.
  • To send the newsletter, if you asked for it.
  • To send the check-up results you asked for.
  • To send the text messages you signed up for.

We do not sell your information.

Text messaging

If you sign up for GC3 Text Updates, we collect your mobile number, your name and a record of your consent. We use them only to send you the texts you asked for: Plan a Visit follow-ups, event and service reminders, and church updates. Our texting and customer-records tools handle your number only to deliver and log those messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help. The full program rules are in our Text Terms.

Who helps us handle it

We use a few kinds of service providers to run this site. They handle your information only to do that job for us.

  • A website hosting and database service, which serves this site and stores what you submit.
  • A customer-records (CRM) system, which keeps our contacts and notes.
  • An email service, which sends the newsletter and check-up emails.
  • A giving processor, which handles gifts on its own page.

This site also shows maps, videos and fonts from other companies. Your browser talks to them directly when it loads those parts of a page, and their own privacy policies apply.

Your choices

  • Newsletter: use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email.
  • Texts: reply STOP to any message.
  • To see, fix or delete what we have about you, call or email us using the details above.

Children

This site is for adults. A parent may tell us their kids' ages on the Plan a visit form so we can get ready for them. We do not ask children for their own information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
